This page introduces the reader to a system of thought that focuses on the "here and now." The system claims that emotion is primary and that much of our problem in the dying process is due to focusing on thoughts instead of feelings. Often it is that we simply do not have the skill to do so and so the negative emotional components simply get worse and a negative cycle ensues.

These three pieces have come from my long term interest in Medical Ethics and Death and Dying. These interests preceded my career as a physician and my intense interest in psychology. My interest in psychology led me to a study of emotion. The combination of ethics, medicine and psychology led me to formulate these ideas. The hope is to improve emotional communication and thus intellectual communication amongst all members of the community especially when a member of that community is in the dying process.
